Fahrenheit 451 pp.

The part that I really liked was when Margret tried to suicide herself. I really liked that part bacause it was interesting. I liked how the author was descriptive about it. It helped me understand it better. I dont know what page it was in but yeah I liked it.

Descriptive paragraph *aLmA's DrEaD*

As I walk up those creaky stairs, I start thinking about how boring it's going to be. Looking at more than 200 words, turning page per page, reading word per word, its the thing that I dislike the most and they leave it for homework. How boring.....

Fahrenheit 451 pp.21-40

1) What do you find confusing?? What is something you don’t understand??

-Well one thing that I found confusing was the fact that reading books was illegal. Yeah…..that really confused me. I also felt confuse because they had to burn all the books. I’m really confuse but hopefully I’ll get the hang of it.

2.) Montag compares Mildred (his wife) to Clarisse and says that Clarisse seems older. In what way does Clarisse act more mature and why do you think she is more mature? Why does Bradbury (the author) make the contrast between the two?

-Well I think that Clarisse acts more mature and older than Mildred (his wife) for several reasons. One reason is because Clarisse is more open to things. She communicates with people more than Mildred. Mildred is just to different from her. I mean what was all the suicide thing. That explains it all she is just too confusing and doesn’t know what she wants. Well I think that the author compares both of them because they are both two different people.

Fahrenheit 451 pp.3-21

1) Ask a question that you have about what's going on in the novel. What do you find confusing?

-I really didn't understand why Mildred tried to suicide herself..and why she didnt want to admit it after she was ok.

1) Even before Montag and his wife Mildred talk to one another we know that they are alienated (distant) from one another. How does the author convey this?

-Well I mean the fact that mildred tried to kill herself, says it all she was probably not happy with realationship with Montag. Also because the author explains that one night Montag comes home and goes straight to another room.
